Industrial Grade Flash Memory Cards

ATP industrial grade flash memory cards are used in a wide range of rugged, wide temperature applications including industrial embedded systems, test and measurement, medical equipment, point-of-sale, casino gaming, automation devices, and portable computing. They are designed and tested specifically for rugged mobile computing and intensive program/erase operations in all environments.

ATP industrial grade flash cards implement ECC and wear-leveling algorithms to maximize flash component utilization and long-term data integrity. Built using SLC (Single Level Cell) type NAND flash components, which are specified to at least 20 times the rating for program/erase cycles (lifetime) as well as a much lower bit error rate compared to commercial MLC (Multi Level Cell) type NAND flash. ATP is currently deploying new mechanisms for flash status feedback for implementation on Motorola handhelds, which will allow for controllable active feedback on memory card health.

All ATP flash cards are manufactured with ATP’s System in Package (SIP) process which encapsulates all of the exposed components and points of failure to protect against water, moisture, vibration/shock, electrostatic discharge, and extreme temperatures. ATP has formed a partnership with Motorola to perform an in-house intensive validation/testing process (endurance, signal integrity and protocol compatibility at wide temp) with Motorola handhelds to ensure compatibility and consistency in the field.
